Interesting Grid Use Cases

Grid infrastructure has been primarily built for the needs of CERN, but nowadays there are plenty of other user communities benefiting from the available vast amounts of resources.
This session will feature three use-cases, where Grid technologies are used to solve economical problems, to simulate durability of materials and even crashing planes virtually, and to store astronomical data. The presentations will be complemented with interesting visual materials.

Presentations in this session
Building Relationships with the 'Invisible' across the INWA Grid
Ashley Lloyd
Grid users in the Baltic countries (crashing planes virtually)
Kaspars Kalnins
