Session

Demanding applications

The Research and Education community has access to very fast networks. Sometimes though as fast as possible isn't fast enough. This session features presentations of bandwidth hungry applications of today and the near future that eat 10Gbps for breakfast, showing the networking requirements of the research frontier.

Complementing this is a presentation addressing the challenges associated with actually using the high speeds we have available today. What needs to be done on data producing and consuming servers to make full use of 10Gbps and beyond.
