LHCOPN - Status and Plans

The LHCOPN, set up by CERN in 2004, is one of the world’s largest single-science network infrastructures. In this talk, we will look at the operations of this world-wide optical network in the context of the Large Hadron Collider, which has already started to produce physics data. Multi-domain operational issues and monitoring will be covered, after a brief overview of the architecture of the LHCOPN and the expected data-rates from the LHC experiments.
