André Csillaghy

André Csillaghy holds a PhD in computer science from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He worked at the Space Sciences Laboratory of the University of California, Berkeley, where he co-designed and developed major parts of the data analysis software of the NASA RHESSI spacecraft. He moved to his actual institution in 2001 as Professor of computer science. He was promoted head of the Institute of 4D Technologies in 2008. Csillaghy is technology manager of the EU/FP7-funded HELIO e-Infrastructure which develops a virtual organization for heliophysics. He is involved in the data handling systems of several astronomy spacecraft, including Herschel and Solar Orbiter.
