Ashley Lloyd

Ashley has researched widely in the emerging technology arena, from basic research into nonlinear optics to developing ICT and display devices, with publications ranging from the IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics to the International Journal of Innovation Management. Industry and government in Australia, EU, US and UK have supported this research, with concurrent awards from the UK EPSRC and ESRC reflecting an interdisciplinary approach built on strong links with Edinburgh colleagues at ISSTI (Social Shaping of Technology) and EPCC (HPC). International collaborators include Sun Microsystems and CNIC, Chinese Academy of Sciences, producing the INWA grid connecting Edinburgh, Beijing and Perth.
