András Kovács is the Head of Network Development at the Hungarian Research & Education Network organisation, NIIF Institute. He received his MSc. in Computer Engineering in 2002 from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. He coordinated the establishment of a higher-education and research videoconference service for Hungary, was the leader of the TERENA Task Force Videoconference Service Studies (TF-VSS) between 2006 and 2007, was the activity leader for GN2 Service Activity 6 (Pan-European Videoconference Service) between 2007 and 2009. He was also an invited lecturer at the Technical University of Budapest between 2003 and 2007.
