Thomas teaches leads the Internet Technologies research group (http://www.haw-hamburg.de/inet) there. Prior to moving to Hamburg, he headed the computer centre of FHTW Berlin. He studied mathematics and physics at Freie Universität Berlin and University of Maryland. He has continuously conducted numerous national and international projects and serves as co-editor and technical expert in many occasions. His current interests lie in next generation Internet, multimedia networking, and knowledge-based systems, where he is actively involved in the work of IETF. He will speak about mobile video conferencing.
