Gareth Eason is the Network Operations Manager for HEAnet, the Irish National Education and Research Network. Having combined a career to date in high speed networking (Cable & Wireless) and telecommunications (Nokia) with software development and systems analysis (Energis, Prime Carrier), Gareth has been involved in outsourcing and 'insourcing' such diverse things as compute and storage to cloud computing platforms and Service Desk and computer support to third parties.
